Is the six and eight working a good bet for the come out?

question: I THINK that I understand craps, but I wonder.  This is because I am inclined to use a strategy which I don't see others use and I can't find it in any books.  Please let me know:  Am I nuts or brilliant?  Here is what I do.......

I always have the six and eight working on the come out.

Why not?  They are the best bet on the table.  What am I missing?

Thanks.

Don

Hi Don

Actually a lot of people bet the 6 and 8 on the comeout and have it working. However most people are rooting for a come out seven, and if that rolls, you lose your bet. Personally I prefer to wait until a point is established and then place the six and eight. If either number rolls I would take both down and wait for a new point before I bet again.

Good luck,
Larry
