Hello Henry,
I really enjoy your BJ INSIDER. All of your writers are good. I especially like to follow the adventures of LV Pro. I hope to run into him someday.
I learned basic strat. and counting back in the '80s from Lance Humble's Worlds Greatest Blackjack Book. Lance introduced his readers to a very useful publication called " Casino & Gaming Directory for Nevada" . They had all the Nevada casinos listed with the number of tables, bet range available, BJ rules, number of decks, and other game info . I sent for a new one every year until they quit publishing in the mid '90s. I really miss this little book. Is there any other publisher that issues about the same information as was in the "Directory" ? There have also been so many new places open in Vegas that I don't even know how many there are or where many of them are located. I like to stay off the strip most of the time and need a map and list for all the outlying casinos. Do you have any idea where I might find such a list and map?? I am leaving the midwest soon to spend the next 3 mo. In Laughlin as a snowbird and like to get up to Vegas often. I hope you can steer me in the right direction to find this stuff.
Thanking you in advance, Gene
Dear Gene,
The closest publication with similar information about blackjack playing conditions for different casinos is Stanford Wong's Current Blackjack news. It is published monthly and sent to subscribers via email ($49/ yr. subscription) or via paper ($99/yr). You can obtain information about the newsletter by visiting www.bj21.com.
Another relatively new source of information on blackjack playing conditions for different casinos is the online Trackjack, which is an information sharing network. Information is available at www.rge21.com.
